The FSI Retreat is for high school student-athletes who profess a Christian faith and desire to grow spiritually.
Student athletes are paired with a mentor on the first night of the retreat. Mentors are college students, graduate students, and young adults who understand sports and sports culture and are passionate about the spiritual formation of youth. FSI trains mentors to be able to lead student athletes in small groups and competition. During the Retreat mentors will build relationships with three to four participants and will intentionally continue in those relationships for a full year following the Retreat.
The 2023 Faith & Sport Institute Retreat will be June 14-17.
The retreat will take place at Baylor’s Truett Seminary and on other parts of the Baylor Campus including dorms, cafeterias, and the Student Life Center.
*All medication will be checked in during registration and an FSI representative will go over with students and parents the procedures and policies for medications while on campus.
An emergency contact number will be provided to parents/guardians at retreat registration. Though cell phone use will be limited during the Retreat, participants will be given a certain time each day when they may use their phones.
