Listen. Encourage. Inspire.
A mentor of the Faith & Sports Institute is committed to journeying alongside his or her mentees in a yearlong mentoring relationship that begins at the FSI Retreat in June. The journey of mentorship is one of listening and discovery: listening to God’s truth amidst the world’s many voices and discovering how to live life faithfully to the call of Jesus Christ within the complex world of sport. The world challenges the identity and formation of high school athletes. Your role as a mentor involves guiding your mentees as they begin to discern their vocational calling specific to God's kingdom and Church.
From our alumni: “FSI provided me with a personal outlet to serve and do on-the-ground ministry in a sphere which I feel passionate about—the sports world. I learned an abundance of practical ministry, professional, and leadership skills in working for FSI.”
