Adaptive Church
The world is changing, and we have to adapt. Adaptive Church: Collaboration and Community in a Changing World explores what it takes to for communities of faith to respond to a new cultural and ecclesial landscape with renewed imagination, creativity, and hope.
Written for pastors and local congregational leaders, people who are innovating within and beyond the church, and for those who are trying to navigate new ways and methods of studying the changing church, Adaptive Church unearths the central importance of the ecclesial ecology, or the ways in which the church is connected to the community and culture around it.
Understanding, renewing, and rebuilding relationships between churches, nonprofits, faith-based philanthropy, and educational institutions is critical to the life and wellness of the future church. Dr. Dustin Benac’s research digs into the ways in which harbors of hope are created through enlivened imagination, relational care and connectedness, and “hubs” of creative collaboration.
