How Do I Get Started with Mentoring?

Minimum of 34 hours of coursework completed.

Read Mentoring Handbook.

Considering your vocational calling, identify a program, organization, or ministry with which you would like to deepen your understanding through mentoring.

Secure a mentor.

Self-enroll in the Introduction to Mentoring Canvas site.

Work through the modules on the Canvas site.

Contact the Director of Mentoring in Ministry with any questions or issues you need to clarify.

Submit names of three potential Professors of Record to the Director of Mentoring in Ministry.

Receive approval of a Professor of Record.

Complete and submit Mentoring Application online.

Complete and submit Mentoring Syllabus to the Director of Mentoring in Ministry (not required for CPE, Residential Chaplains, Military Chaplaincy, Truett Ministry Resident Program, or MSW Dual Degree students).

Receive a permit from the Director of Mentoring in Ministry.

Register for Mentoring 7V00.
