Global Congress on Sport and Christianity

Please mark your calendars and make plans to join the Faith and Spots Institute on July 31- August 2 in Waco, Texas, as they host the fourth Global Congress on Sport and Christianity (GCSC).
Since 2016, the GCSC has brought together a wide range of people who are passionate about exploring sports and Christianity in a deeper way. From scholars and academics to coaches and athletic directors to pastors and sports ministers (and more), the GCSC provides an interdisciplinary and collaborative space for meaningful dialogue and conversation.
2025 marks the fourth GCSC and the Faith & Sports Institute is proud to host the event at Truett Seminary in collaboration with Sport.Faith.Life, Ridley Hall, the Christian Society for Kinesiology, Leisure, and Sports Studies, wired4sport, and the University of Tennessee’s Sport & Religion Research Alliance.
To register for the conference, please visit our registration page. Please note that the early bird registration rate closes on May 1. After that, registration will increase from $250 to $275.
A full conference schedule will be available in April. In the meantime, you can view details about keynote speakers below. To help in your planning, the basic outline for the conference is provided here. Please note that there is also an optional FLEX preconference event for women on July 31 before the main conference begins.
July 31: Conference check-in opens at 4 PM. Welcome dinner and keynote lecture from Dr. Graham Daniels.
August 1: Sessions and programming will begin at 9 AM and run throughout the day. Lunch is provided.
August 2: Sessions and programming will begin at 9 AM and run through an awards ceremony and closing dinner in the evening. Lunch is also provided.
