FSI Resources
At the Faith & Sports Institute, we want to produce new research that advances scholarly knowledge. But we also want to make research accessible to Christian leaders so that they can better understand and engage with the culture of sports. For sports practitioners interested in thoughtful research-based resources and perspectives, consider checking out the following resources from FSI.
Faith & Sports Blog
The Faith & Sports blog helps sports-minded Christians think more deeply about the games that we play. It features posts from a wide range of perspectives, including coaches, theologians, philosophers, athletes, historians, and more.
Faith & Sports Forum
The Faith & Sports Forum offers moderated online conversations with Christian leaders on key issues in sports. Check out our most recent Forum on Youtube, and join our email list email list if you’d like to be informed about future Forum events.
A.R.C. Talks (Athletics, Race, and Christianity)
This annual lecture series brings Christianity into the conversation on race and sports and is hosted in conjunction with Baylor Athletics and Truett’s Black Church Studies Program. The inaugural event was held in February 2021, and you may view the event recording here.
Online Certificate Program
This non-credit professional development and continuing education program is designed to help busy sports-minded Christians process and explore critical issues from an informed Christian perspective.
Sports Ministry Chapel
Each year, the Faith & Sports Institute hosts one of the weekly Truett Chapel services. The service features FSI students, faculty, and staff, as well as a guest speaker to share a message at the intersection of ministry and sport.
