Certificate of Lay Ministry
Truett Seminary’s Certificate of Lay Ministry is approved for Certified Lay Minister requirements in all conferences of the Global Methodist Church.
This certificate comes through a collaborative effort between our Online Certificate Program and Wesley House of Studies, and it leverages more than a decade of expertise in adult non-credit theological education.
While this program is open to anyone, it has been designed with the Global Methodist Church’s requirements for a Certified Lay Minister in mind.
Certificate of Lay Ministry Overview
Truett Seminary offers serious study at a level appropriate for anyone. The structure and schedule of this program are designed to maximize flexibility by allowing students to accomplish assignments based on their own schedules, rather than a fixed calendar. Each online course is only $250, making excellent theological education more accessible and affordable.
Our goal is that Certificate students would spend a total of 2 to 3 hours per week on coursework and strive to finish each online course within the time allotted (8 or 12 weeks depending on the course), but additional time can be taken if unexpected life circumstances cause delays. This is robust learning that is accessible and designed for busy adults who desire excellent and flexible learning.
