PRTH 7390 – Anglican Spirituality: The Prayer Book, Practices, and Poetic Imagination

Details: Explore how patterns of prayer and worship have combined with an appreciation of art and beauty to shape a uniquely Anglican approach to Christian living. In person May 18-22 (8am-5pm, with breaks) in Waco, remote instruction and final paper writing May 23-June 4. Afternoon Tea Time conversation guests include Dr. Alan Jacobs and Dr. David Lyle Jeffrey. AEHS students have first priority in registering but all students are welcomed. Spiritual Direction I: Theology and Practice of Soul Care

Details: This course introduces students to the ministry of Christian spiritual direction. Biblical-theological and historical perspectives on spiritual guidance are explored. Students begin participating in a practicum by receiving spiritual direction and practicing prayerful listening.
