Acting Director of the Anglican Episcopal House of Studies
Rev. Matthew Aughtry serves as the acting director of the Anglican Episcopal House of Studies at Truett Seminary. Matthew is a priest in The Anglican Church in North America and resident within The Diocese of Churches for the Sake of Others and has helped lead church planting efforts for the ACNA for over a decade in both Los Angeles and Waco. Matthew has been at Baylor since 2017, primarily serving Baylor Spiritual Life as a chaplain to students, staff, and faculty engaged in the arts.
Matthew is also a filmmaker and serves as an adjunct professor within Baylor’s Film and Digital Media Department. He holds a BA in Film Studies/Media Arts from the University of South Carolina, a certificate in screenwriting from the University of California in Los Angeles, and a MA from Baylor University in Film and Digital Media. He also holds a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary where he is recognized as a Brehm Scholar for Theology and the Arts and where he returned in 2023 to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy in Theology and Culture.

Elisabeth Rain Kincaid is Associate Professor of Ethics, Faith, and Culture at Baylor University's George W. Truett Theological Seminary. She also serves as the Director of the Institute of Faith and Learning, where she works to develop programming that integrates Christian faith and academic excellence. She is also an Affiliate Professor of Management at the Hankamer School of Business. Dr. Kincaid’s research focuses on the intersection of theological ethics, legal ethics and business ethics, virtue ethics, natural law, early modern theology, and theology of work and vocation. Dr. Kincaid recently published Law From Below: How the Thought of Francisco Suárez, SJ, Can Renew Contemporary Legal Engagement (Georgetown University Press) which explores different models for Christian engagement with law. She is currently working on a second monograph exploring the relationship between business ethics, theology, and human flourishing (under contract with Georgetown University Press). She has published broadly including in the Journal of the Society of Christian Ethics, The Scottish Journal of Theology, The Journal of Moral Theology, Political Theology, The Journal of Markets and Morality, and Christian Scholar’s Review, as well as contributing chapters to numerous edited volumes. Dr. Kincaid is a frequent invited speaker at academic campuses, churches, and retreats.
