Anglican Episcopal House of Studies

The Anglican Episcopal House of Studies at Baylor University’s George W. Truett Theological Seminary seeks to cultivate theologically grounded, liturgically formed, and missionally engaged clergy and lay leaders for service in Anglican and Episcopal contexts.

The telling of the story of creation and new creation does not just inform the hearers about this narrative. It invites them into it, enfolds them within it, assures them of their membership in it, and equips them for their tasks in pursuit of its goal."

— N.T. Wright, Surprised by Hope

Acting Director of the Anglican Episcopal House of Studies

Current students within the newly formed Anglican Episcopal House represent various dioceses in both the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) and The Episcopal Church (USA), both of which are also represented among Truett’s full-time faculty. Anglican provinces across the globe have also been present from time to time within Truett’s student body. The hope of the House is to grow in its relationships with the ecclesial bodies already represented at Truett as well as to engage in expanding relationships with other like-minded bishops, rectors, and future students.
