Ministry for Life
From a life called to a life sustained.
Ministry for Life is a collaborative initiative between Baylor University’s George W. Truett Theological Seminary and denominational, educational, and church partners, all working together to cultivate healthy, well-supported pastors and ministers at every stage of their calling.
What is Ministry for Life?
Healthy pastors lead healthy churches. Ministry for Life walks alongside pastors at every stage of their calling to ensure they are well-supported for a lifetime of faithful service. Ministry for Life is a comprehensive, collaborative initiative between Truett Seminary at Baylor University and denominational, educational, and church partners to shape, educate, place, and sustain pastoral leaders over the long term.
More About The Program
Walking alongside ministers at every stage of their calling, Ministry for Life builds the kind of rich, long-term relationships between leaders, churches, and seminaries that produces healthy pastors who can flourish throughout the duration of their ministry.
- Shaping Cultures of Call: Creating environments where men and women can discern whether God is calling them into vocational ministry.
- Educating the Called: Offering accessible and affordable pathways to theological education for men and women.
- Placing the Educated: Connecting ministers with the congregations and communities that need them.
- Supporting the Placed: Walking alongside and lay leaders for a lifetime of sustainable ministry.
Unified Collaboration
Our aim is to cultivate resilient, spiritually grounded, and well-prepared pastoral leaders, strengthening those serving today and equipping those who will serve tomorrow, so that all can flourish across the landscapes of 21st-century ministry. Ministry for Life is distinctive because of the collaboration of local congregations, denominational bodies, higher education institutions, and specialized ministry organizations around this single, unified mission.
