Certified Lay Ministry Certificate
Truett Seminary is pleased to be able to offer a Certified Lay Ministry Certificate. This certificate comes through a collaborative effort between Truett Seminary’s Online Certificate Program and the Wesley House of Studies. While this program is open to all, this new program has been designed with the Global Methodist Church’s requirements for Certified Lay Ministry in mind. The studies within this program are intended to be self-paced, allowing students ample flexibility. The curriculum will seek to be authentic to Wesleyan teachings and faithfully take students through a deeper dive into their Biblical, theological, and spiritual formation.
An overview of the program is located below. The first courses will be available this fall, with the remaining courses following soon after. As this program is new, we appreciate your patience and excitement as the remaining courses are being developed.
This Certificate is approved for Certified Lay Ministry requirements in the Mid-Texas Conference of the Global Methodist Church.
Certified Lay Ministry Certificate Overview
The courses will run in an asynchronous model, which allows students to work at their own pace.
Should students want a more directed schedule, each course typically takes 10-12 weeks for a total of 40-44 weeks for the whole certificate.
Courses cost $250 each.

This elective is up to the student and includes options such as:

TCP009 - Preaching 1
