About Dr. Arterbury
Dr. Arterbury began teaching at Truett in August 2007. Previously, Andy was an Assistant Professor of Religion in Baylor University's Interdisciplinary Core from 2003 to 2007. While housed in Baylor's Honors College, he also held a joint appointment with Baylor's Religion Department, where he was a member of the graduate faculty.
A native Texan, Andy grew up attending the First Baptist Church of Van Alstyne and the First Baptist Church of Port Lavaca. In addition, as an ordained minister, he has served Christian congregations in Austin, Waco, and Madison, New Jersey. He and his wife, Kristin, are proud parents of two adult children and are active members of the First Baptist Church of Waco.
