Ben Simpson

Rev. Ben Simpson serves as Truett’s associate director of Spiritual Formation, coordinating and helping oversee the Spiritual Formation Program at the Seminary. He assists Dr. Angela Reed with Truett’s Spiritual Direction Training Program, and he is a certified spiritual director. Ben has a BA from Baylor, an MACE from Dallas Theological Seminary, and an MA in Religious Studies from The University of Kansas. He is ordained in the Baptist tradition and has served as a pastor to children, youth, and college students. He has a great love for the local church and is a member of First Woodway Baptist Church.

Ben is married to the Rev. Molly Simpson, a Baylor alumna and United Methodist elder. Molly is the Assistant Director for Service, working with both Baylor’s Office of Engaged Learning and the Office of Spiritual Life. Ben enjoys books, basketball, coaching youth soccer, and the outdoors.
