About Dr. Hill
Daniel Lee Hill is an assistant professor of Christian Theology, joining the faculty at George W. Truett Theological Seminary in the fall of 2022. His primary research interests are in the fields of theological anthropology and ecclesiology, focusing primarily on figures in 20th century theology, often in conversation with figures operating within the Reformed traditions. Of late, he is particularly interested in the dialogical relationship of human creatures and their contexts.
Dr. Hill is the author of Gathered on the Road to Zion and Bearing Witness, a book that retrieves the insights of 19th century abolitionists in order to construct an evangelical account of public life. He is currently working on a manuscript on the manner in which doxology shapes the nature and execution of dogmatics as well as a monograph offering a theological account of anger.
Dr. Hill and his wife Jessica live in Waco with their two children. In whatever free time he can muster, Dr. Hill enjoys cooking, drinking strong coffee, gardening, and finding new ways to blunder his queen in a game of blitz chess.
