About Dr. Whitt
Jason D. Whitt serves as director of the Master of Arts in Theology and Healthcare program at Baylor’s George W. Truett Theological Seminary. Additionally, he is Senior Lecturer in the Honors Program and Faculty Steward for the Honors Residential College. Prior to joining the faculty, he served as associate director of Baylor’s Institute for Faith and Learning from 2009 to 2018. In addition to teaching, Dr. Whitt assists in leadership with the Honors College’s Getterman Fellows program and the Micah Scholars program. An ordained Baptist minister, he previously served as a youth minister and hospice chaplain before coming to Baylor. Dr. Whitt is a native of Fort Worth. He and his wife Maggie have two children, Henry and Camille, and two spoiled Yorkies, Mulkey and Griffin.
