Josue Valerio

  • Director of Hispanic Initiatives

Josue Valerio is the Director of Hispanic Initiatives. This is a new initiative at Truett seminary and he will start and develop the Spanish-language certificate of ministry, the Doctor of Ministry in Spanish, and work to establish partnership relationships with Hispanic companerismos, conventions, congregations, and ministry leaders in Texas, the US, and in Spanish-speaking countries.

He comes with a BA from Pan American University (UTRGV), an MDiv from SWBTS, a Master of City and Regional Planning from UT Arlington, and a DMin from Fuller Theological Seminary. He recently served as Director of the Center for Missional Engagement for BGCT. His experience includes missions, church starting, collegiate ministry, and teaching. He is passionate about helping pastors and church leaders to flourish and develop personally and in their church ministry.

He is married to Lee Ann and they enjoyed traveling, visiting their three daughters and grandchildren, and meeting people from different cultures. They are members of FBC Waco.
