About Dr. Mauriello

Dr. Michael Mauriello is associate clinical associate professor of youth and family ministry.  He previously served LeTourneau University's School of Theology and Vocation as Associate Professor of Christian Ministry and as Directors of Church Relations, Training, and Assessment of the Passage Institute for Youth and Theology, and previously served four years as an adjunct professor at Trinity International University.  He is a board member of the Society of Professors in Christian Ministry and the Association of Youth Ministry Educators.

He is an ordained with the General Baptist Convention of Texas (as of May 4, 2025) and was previously ordained in the Evangelical Free Church of America (October 2009- May 2025) where he ministered full-time over ten and a half years as an associate pastor with responsibilities over children, youth, young adult, small group, and outreach ministries (July 2005-August 2016). His most recent pastoral experience was at the Village Church of Lincolnshire in Lake Forest, IL.

His twin passions in research are youth ministry and associate ministry. His passion in education is mentoring students to see their calling into ministry and to provide the needed training and pastoral care to take first steps into pastoral work.

He has been married for twenty-three years to his wife, Londa, and has two daughters. For fun, he plays with LEGO, watches and reads SCI-FI (both the good stuff and the brain candy), and still has a secret fondness for art and architecture.
